How To Get There
By Private Car or Jeep
Search for Yangrima Eco-Lodge on Google Maps, and it will guide you straight to us in Sermathang, Helambu, just 65 km from Kathmandu. You can also book a private, air-conditioned jeep that will pick you up from your door in Kathmandu and bring you to the lodge in 4-5 hours.
Public Bus Service
Catch the daily public bus from Narayantar Bus Park at 9:00 AM. It arrives in Sermathang around 4:00 PM, followed by a 15-minute walk to the lodge. Just follow the signpost for Yangrima Eco-Lodge or Yangrima School. The return bus departs Sermathang at 8:00 AM and arrives in Kathmandu around 3:00 PM.
Shuttle Jeep (Tata Sumo)
You can opt for a seat on a shared jeep (Tata Sumo) from Kathmandu to Sermathang. It leaves Narayantar (close to Boudha) at 7:30 a.m. and reaches Sermathang around 12:00PM-12:30PM. This shuttle is available everyday and can make for a faster alternative to the public bus service. Once you’re at Sermathang, follow the signposts that lead to Yangrima Eco-Lodge. If you’ve made friends with the driver, perhaps he could drop you off at our lodge for an extra fee. Contact 9845904822 to book your seat.
Two Wheelers
Kathmandu-Dhulikhel-Zero Kilo-Melamchi-Dubachaur-Sermathang route. You can also look up Yangrima Eco-Lodge on Google Maps to get to us. The scenic 3-4 hour ride from Kathmandu is an adventure in itself.
Mountain Bikes
Adventurous mountain bikers can enjoy a 3-4 day scenic circuit via Bhotechaur, Dhusinichaur, Talamarang, Sermathang, Palchowk, and Melamchi. Experience nature, culture, and adventure on this beautiful route.
Helicopter
Short on time or have a physical condition? A helicopter ride brings you to the lodge’s doorstep in just 15 minutes from Kathmandu, with breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Jugal Himal, Gauri Shankar, and Langtang Lirung, as well as the holy Gosainkunda Lake and Ama Yangri Peak.
